In the writing of this film, Mostafa Derkaoui was inspired by the book, Antropologia de la guerrilla, hacia la ciencia social del tercer mundo [Anthropology of the guerrilla fighter, towards Third World social sciences] (1971, Venezuela) and by his discussions with his friends Miguel Sobrado (who acts in the film) and the Polish intellectual Martin Kowalewski, the co-authors of the work.
